Can you give me more informations about BOD33 Protection in nitrokey storage firmware plz ? Is it only a safety protection; or is it a security protection against cyber threat like glitch attack for example ? Thks !
Hello,
it is rather a security than a safety feature. The chip resets if there are voltage abnormalities. Thus making it more difficult or impossible to tamper with the voltage to hereby produce faults which may could give more access or information about the secured content. The BOD is therefore one protection function against hardware attacks.
