Failed to connect to Ivmetad

Upon restarting my nitropad x230 running Linux mint I got the warning: “Failed to connect to Ivmetad”. See picture below. I guess this was caused by updating something. Now i cannot get my machine to boot. Any idea how to fix the problem? Please explain like you are talking to a child with no experience, lol. Thanks!

Hi,
the warning about the lvmetad is not the problem here. The interesting line witch also tells you what to do is: /dev/mapper/mint--vg-root: UNEXPECETED INCONSISTENCX; RUN fsck MANUALLY.
You should have a shell (blinking cursor) please type in there:

fsck.ext4 /dev/mapper/mint–vg-root

it probably asked you after that some times if it should recover some stuff. If this is successful your system should start again normal. This happens often because of forced shutdowns or failing hard drives.
