New Nitrokey 3 "unable to enumerate USB device"

I’ve ordered two Nitrokey 3.

One of them dies immediately:

yes, this looks like a mechanical issue with one of your Nitrokey 3s. Please write to support (at) nitrokey (dot) com with your Sales Order Number (SOxxxxxx) with a reference to this thread and we’ll take care of a replacement.

Jep, I got in contact with Customer Support and as things move slowly, but it is confirmed to be some kind of hardware defect, and I assume it will be replaced.
