after a power cut my nextbox wont boot anymore. after hooking up hdmi i find it running into

Well - guess what - pressing enter brings me to the same stop like cantina band is for sure playing the same song.
It also reads a bit further up the log stream: Dependecy failed for File System Check on /dev/disk/by-label/NextBoxHardDisk
as well as for other things like local file systems … so in filesystem they is probably something toast.
soft reset isn’t executed - but i figured it would be os-driven anyway which isn’t exactly in the right state for comfort functions i guess
Any ideas how to progress? Mount sd card on another machine and try to fsck it?
Open for any idea - dunno whether @daringer or folks are still around with ideas
If the filesystem check on /dev/disk/by-label/NextBoxHardDisk fails the system won’t start. Thats what you are seeing. NextBoxHardDisk is the internal hard disk/ssd, which can’t get mounted. The sd card is likely fine.
As the device was hit by a power cut the ext4 on the ssd is probably (a little) broken.
You could open the device and connect the hard disk directly to a (Linux) PC for filesystem repair, if you feel comfortable doing that. That would be the preferred option.
Alternatively you could change the fstab temporarily to not stop the boot process on failed hard disk mount. Then fix the filesystem while ssh’d into the nextbox.
Let me know if you need further assistance or have questions (:
To change the fstab you would need to get the sd card out and mount the second partition on a (Linux PC) anyways. That’s why I would suggest option 1 (:
good news reading you. actually i do not care that much for both options, both seem pretty conveniend for my - either putting sd card into a reader on a different linux pc adjusting fstab or fscking filesystem. I will open nextbox and probably decide then (and search for usb/sata and sd card adapter, whatever can be found in my electronical mess drawer might win the race :D)
Which adjustmend should be done in fstab? just adding nofail flag?
so i opted for opening the nextbox. for every one reading it - take the lower half off, then you can just unplug the usb2sata-connector in the nextbox and connect it as it is to the next pc.
i had already some errors on the ssd, nothing what ddrescue cannot handle so i opted to build in a fresh ssd.
