Nitrokey App reports 'no active Nitrokey'

Hi,

I reinstalled my laptop with Fedora 27 and my Nitrokey is no longer detected by the Nitrokey app. After I inserted the Nitrokey app I checked the following:

o the unencrypted partition of the Nitrokey is mounted:
/dev/sdb1 on /run/media/johndoe/Nitrokey type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,uid=1999,gid=1999,fmask=0022,dmask=0022,codepage=437,iocharset=ascii,shortname=mixed,showexec,utf8,flush,errors=remount-ro,uhelper=udisks2)

o the card details are readable:
# gpg2 --card-status Reader ...........: 20A0:4109:0000000000000:0 Application ID ...: D276000124010201000500005E960000 Version ..........: 2.1 Manufacturer .....: ZeitControl Serial number ....: 00005E96 Name of cardholder: [not set] Language prefs ...: de Sex ..............: unspecified URL of public key : [not set] Login data .......: [not set] Signature PIN ....: forced Key attributes ...: rsa2048 rsa2048 rsa2048 Max. o the card status in Nitrokey App > About Nitrokey
No active Nitrokey

Did I miss something in the instructions on Nitrokey Documentation

Hi!

I have made a clean install of Fedora 27 and it works on my setup. Perhaps yours is missing udev rules (though gpg status shows device is reachable, hence the udev rules are in place).
If that would not help, try to run nitrokey-app --dl 3 in console to see its debug output.
See as well, if the nitrokey-app instances are not doubled, e.g.

# in terminal
killall nitrokey-app
nitrokey-app --dl 3

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I wanted to test the Nitrokey again today and all seems to be working… Weird, because I did reboot the laptop yesterday. But heyt, it works now!
