Red LED does not illuminate on HSM 2

Hi,

We are in the process of setting up a few more HSM 2s, and I noticed that one of them fails to illuminate the red LED during cryptographic operations (this is in contrast to the several other HSM 2s we have where the LED illuminates consistently and when expected). In fact I don’t recall the LED ever illuminating at all. The affected HSM 2 seems otherwise to work (uploading keys, decrypting, etc.). Please advise.

While I did not see this behaviour before it clearly sound like the LED is dead :grimacing: you might ignore it or let us replace it. If you like to replace it, please send us a mail at our support address.

Thanks. I just wanted to confirm that it’s not something that can be fixed with firmware.
