Hello!

I’m using a Nitrokey 3A (firmware versions: 1.8.1 and 1.8.3) on **Ubuntu 22.04 LTS**. The documentation mentions that the User PIN can be up to **127 characters long** , but when I try to set a PIN longer than around **80-90 characters** , I get an error that the PIN is too long.

I’ve tried both the default **GnuPG (2.2.27)** and the latest **GnuPG (2.4.0** and **2.4.8)**, but the result is the same.
Has anyone successfully set a 127-character PIN?

I’ve also tried on an open source application on windows10 pro and ubuntu 24, but did not get the required results.
Is this a limitation from GnuPG, libccid, or something specific to the Nitrokey firmware?
