Can I use Nitrokeys for 2FA at Hetzner

I want to know if I can use a Nitrokey for 2FA login in my Hetzner account.
In the documentation from Hetzner they only describe how to configure a Yubikey for OTP Authentication:

A question you better ask Hetzner.
Or check it out yourself.
If you would try this here on the forum you will discover that the implementation here doesn’t fit due to chosen software.

As Nitrokey ist hosted at Hetzner, I thought they should know.
I don’t have a Nitrokey so I can’t check myself.
I asked Hetzner and they said that a Nitrokey is also OK as it supports TOTP.

I can confirm that TOTP with Nitrokey 3 works with Hetzner.
