Can't restore backup after factory reset

I had to do a factory reset after moving house and then tried to restore from backup file on a seagate external drive. It starts but sits at 0% for about 5 minutes then the maintenance mode (purple) LED shows and the only way to recover is another factory reset. Soft reset just shows green light for 5 seconds before switching to permanent purple again.

I’ve repeated the cycle to try each of my previous 4 backup files. Same result.

After latest factory reset, I took an immediate backup and was able to restore it easily and quickly. But then tried one of my previous backups again. Same problem.

Am I missing something!? Is there any way to access these files separately and then copy back data. If not, I’ll have lost most of my historical photos.

Any advice would be great …

this may be caused by the fact that the Nextcloud version used in the backup is not the same as the one currently running on your NextBox.

If you want more support I recommend asking support@nitrokey.com with your logs.

Otherwise yes you can totally access the data of your backup and copy them.
