Hi. I’ve just read this page on how to setup PINs on the Nitrokey. It states
The PIN has retry counter of 8 attempts. After 8 attempts, it is locked and the FIDO feature needs to be reset change the PIN. To prevent accidental lock of the PIN, the device needs to be unplugged and replugged every 3 attempts.
to me this reads like you have infinite attempts at entering the PIN if you just re-plug the Nitrokey every 3 attempts. If this is true that would be very bad since someone could brute-force the PIN and get access to the secrets that way.
Please clarify what this means and update the docs if this is not the case.
