Hello! Was wondering what is the actual difference between

and a fork

https://github.com/Nitrokey/heads/
and the purpose behind it.

Hello,

The first purpose of Nitrokey’s fork is to bring features that might be interesting for Nitrokeys users (that can be merge upstream or not).

The second is to provide releases which permits the user to update the firmware of his computer easily and this also prevent from bugs or compatibility issues.
