I have a Purism Librem 14. If I recall correctly, y’all and Purism (and others) are getting hardware from the same vendor. The Librem has come unhinged. One time I was able to repair it with superglue and baking soda, but it came apart again, and progressively is getting worse. I think the root of the issue is that the hinge is attached to plastic pieces that are attached to the chassis. The plastic eventually breaks.
I can’t find pictures of how the hinge on the V54 and V56 is attached.
Is the hinge a similar design to the Librem 14? Or is there some quality improvement? I’m looking for some assurance instead of having a busted hinge after a couple of years.
