Hi
Making the move from macOS to Linux and wanted the secure option of Qubes on NitroPad.
However, I am completely stuck and about to get locked out of the computer.
I assumed the laptop was set up with NitroKey but it appears not
I installed NitroKey app on my Mac and set up a new PIN but when I put it in the NitroPad it says the PIN is incorrect.
When I first set up the laptop I got through to the Qubes OS dashboard, but was unable to connect to the hotel internet.
This morning I can’t even get through to login and am stuck on a Heads B&W screen.
Can anyone please offer any suggestions?
I have used Qubes before, but not NitroKey, but am not a proficient Linux user by any means.
Thanks in advance.
I got this screen, which seemed positive (HOTP: Success)
But then arrived at this.
I am new to this as well, but are you sure you set the right PIN? There are multiple, see Set PINs - Nitrokey Documentation

Hello,
as motor150 said I think the PIN is wrong.
What you can do is to perform a factory reset by following this guide:
And you will see at step 8 all the PINs you will need to know.
Once this is done you should be fine.
Also note that if you really need to enter your OS you can skip the tampering checks and boot on it by going into the boot option and choosing unsafe boot.
Thanks for your response @motor150 - much appreciated
Thank you very much, @alexandre - I will give it a try when I’m back at the NitroPad and report back later!

Sorry, yes, didn’t see it blinking so thought it was ‘non touch’. Trying to reset again now
Thank you for your help, @alexandre !
