New NitroPC 2 - Qubes - Date and Time are wrong

New user of Qubes and NitroPC 2. Just arrived today. Booted up and set up user etc. but I can’t update anything because the date and time are wrong.

Can anyone tell me how to get into the BIOS to change this, please? I’ve wasted my morning trying to get working a supposedly “pre installed” system - and I’m still no further along.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

in order to get in the BIOS you need to press one of the function key, I not sure which one in particular. You can try all of them while booting.

Thanks for the reply, @alexandre

I tried F2, F10, F12, DEL and ESC. None of them take me to BIOS

I read elsewhere that one can’t get to BIOS on Nitrokey computers, and that one has to change time / date in DOM0 in Qubes.

However, ‘Settings’ in DOM0 is greyed out as are all other options.

Very happy not to have bought a more expensive Nitrokey computer, as this is a complete non starter.

You can go to the BIOS settings but it’s not sure if you will be able to change date and time from here.

Maybe it’s the del key or escp that you need to press.

Thank you @alexandre , but I already tried DEL and ESC.

It should be ESC but the timing is important, the easiest way is to keep pressing it during boot.

Thank you @alexandre - I tried pressing ESC continually during boot, but it didn’t bring me to a screen with Time and Date options.

I got the answer from https://www.nitrokey.com/contact

From the main screen in Qubes, click on the “Q” in the top left hand corner
Then click on the gear icon in the left hand sidebar
Then click on Other
Then open Xfce Terminal

Then you will need to do 2 commands:

sudo date -s

example:
sudo date --set=“20100513 05:30”

and:

sudo hwclock -w

SUCCESS!
