Unfortunately, I didn’t really find anything when searching the forum.
I have the following problem with my Nitrokey 3A NFC:
When I connect the Nitrokey 3A NFC to my Android smartphone, it is recognized but the “Openkeychain” app is called up/started immediately. However, I haven’t saved any PGP keys on the Nitrokey.
I actually wanted to use the FIDO2 function of the Nitrokey 3A NFC to log in to a service. Does FIDO/FIDO2 not work with the Nitrokey 3A NFC on Android devices?
I also noticed that the Nitrokey 3A is not recognized via NFC.
hello , the nitrokey 3A nfc should work on Android phones using the nfc feature. It works for me for fido2.
The behaviour you described looks normal.
You have to bring the key near to the nfc spot of the phone only when it shows the fido2 prompt.
If you bring near it any other time then it will open openkeychain.
Yout might have to find the right spot for the first time and hold the key for 2 seconds there. It should work.
Try on this website - https://webauthn.io/ . (preferably on chrome , as brave sowmtimes gives errors and firefox won’t support it i guess.)
Also keep in mind if you set “Discoverable credential” _‘required’ then you’ll have to insert the key in the type c port (Use type A to type c convertor) for it to work.
