Nitrokey 3C NFC update from v1.8.2 to v1.8.3 fails: Invalid component in firmware version: 0.5.0rc1

When I try to update my Nitrokey 3C NFC from v1.8.2 to v1.8.3 using the Nitrokey App v2.6.0 on Windows 11 Pro, it shows the following error message:

Nitrokey 3 update failed: Invalid component in firmware version: 0.5.0rc1

What’s wrong and how can I fix it?

It worked fine using nitropy nk3 update, so it probably was/is a bug in the NitroKey App:

PS C:\Users\foo> nitropy nk3 update

Maybe 0.5.0rc1 was referring to an old pre-release version of the piv-authenticator Trussed app …?
