Nitrokey FIDO2 random flashing green?

Hello,

Has anyone else noticed this with the Nitrokey FIDO2? It will sometimes randomly flash green several times when there is no apparent reason to.

The normal operation is when a authorization request is received it flashes white, and when the key is pressed, it flashes green and request is authorized.

Can anyone explain under what other circumstances that it would be normal for the FIDO2 to show a green light on a frequent basis?

Hey @zcyph,

This is a known issue, in particular this happens in rare cases due to process variations of the capacitive sensor in combination with nearby metalic objects. Please write support@nitrokey.com with your order reference and we will replace your FIDO2 stick.
