Recently I experienced an issue with the Qubes 4.3 stable installation on my V54, which was previously running 4.2 without issues (pre installed by Nitrokey). HEADS installed.
Few days ago I decided to try to install the Qubes 4.3, but it froze the installation in the “running pre installation scripts” like 7 times. It finally went through. I reowned the whole disk btw.
The Verification of the installation media passed OK.
After the first boot, all was working well except for some minor qrexec issues, including the full update of dom0 and templates. No changes in the policies.
Backup restore went well too - AppVMs, no templates, no sys- or disposables transferred. Once all went through I restarted and reowned the TMP and renewed the TOTP and the following broke:
- Update of all templates debian 13, Fedora, whonix broke. The dom0 still updated well though.
- copying files in between the AppVMs broke
- clipboard copying in between AppVMs broke
Policy files are empty.
Tried to reinstall, still the same.
Now I tried to go back to the 4.2 and I cannot get pass the initial “running pre installation scripts” at all. Tried about 15x +. Again the Verification if the Qubes installation media returns OK.
Any advice you can give me to solve this issue please? This seems to be Nitropad V54 specific. My old Purism Librem 14 laptop seems to work well.
