Nitropc: cpu cooler

I really love my nitropc (form factor mini-pc / nuc) and its been holding for a few years now. Lately, it seems that the cpu is getting pretty hot above 60 degrees and sometime over 70… I have script taht cron runs, which sends me a notification, when the cpu is higher than 75.

Anyways, was thinking about long-term solutions and would like to add a cpu cooler. As you know, the nitropc is small. So my thinking was to add something like this used for laptops: 5H40S72913 Original Lenovo Lüfter inkl. Kühler (CPU) - ipc-computer.de

Does anyone know if I will be able to mount this an power it using the nitro pc? If not, any better suggestions are welcome

Hello, the NitroPC do already have a fan, if it’s getting hot I would suggest you to replace the thermal paste that is under the fan.

hi alexandre, I should’ve specified that I’ve got the older version of this: NitroPC 2 | shop.nitrokey.com - my device does not have fan yet

I think that also the older version do have a fan, could you send some pics to verify that? Or you can also open the casing and look under the motherboard (this is where it should be located).
