Is there an option to add a 10Gbps Ethernet interface to the system?
(Seems a better fit to connect these boxes as proxmox cluster nodes to some NAS).

generally this should be possible, the only drawback will be that this is not tested hardware. Means the currently offered hardware combinations are usually tested and verified for functionality by us. If you would write shop (at) nitrokey (dot) com with the exact model you would like to include, I guess this should be possible - with the given drawbacks.
