Nk3a mini is not recognised on all USB ports

My nk3a mini is not recognized on all USB ports when the system is cold starting.
The laptop has 2 USB ports, when plugged in into the one on the left everything is fine but when plugged into the port on the right the LED goes permanently on red as soon as the computer is powered on. This is not OS relevant, it goes red even before the boot loader is started.
Replugging the key does start it and I can use it.

Rebooting is okay, using the other port is okay, what can I do so that the key can be used in all ports?

Seems as if the USB port is defective. A USB-Stick shows strange behavior as well.

Now the kk3 won’t work on any port.
The second one. No item lasted longer than a few days. Very annoying.

I think you should write support@nitrokey.com mentioning the order number as this might be a defect.

That’s what I did. Asked for refund and did now purchase a Yubikey instead.
As much as I preferred a Nitrokey to a Yubikey, my experience with the nk hardware was a complete deception.
