Ns70 reinstall woes

Earlier this year i bought a ns70.
Hardware is working no problem there.
The heads is still the same.

I reinstalled, rather attempted to, because i don’t actually like the One disk, One Partition mapping that is provided.
Id rather like to have part of the storage separated to allow for different filesystems to be used.
ext4 , xfs, zfs all have their uses. Also split /home, /tmp, /var/log, from / into their own filesystems.
probably rather use Debian as opposed to Ubuntu.
(because i have my doubts about the flatpak approach to software and the chosen default Gnome desktop).
I have no issues with having one VG, just that is should be carvedup in smaller segments.

Atm i have tried a standard debian, which is probably missing some drivers out of the box as the kernel is complaining a lot about the WiFi, and needing a network not having a connection fails the install …
Even reinstalling the original Ubuntu fails (unaltered autoinstall) as during reboot the /boot needs to be signed and at that moment the HOTP get invalidated, after reseting that one the /boot is defective.
Even with a reset of the provided Nitrokey doesn’t fix this.
I guess i am missing some steps somewhere…

Anyone that recognizes this, or can shed some light to a useable reinstall with:
Still allowing carving separate FS’s. Having the install put anything onto ONE filesytem is fine as long as sufficient space is left. to create other fs’s. The other option for autoinstall storage like scaled as sizing option would do fine.
Different Graphics Shell like KDE of XFCE.
