I got my Nitrokey 3c home yesterday. The FIDO flow works until you are asked to touch the key. You can tap as hard you you want into the flashing area with the touch icon, nothing happens.
The key is totally plastic, other than the touch icon there is no obvious metal to touch in this one.
If there is no obvious or easy way to fix, I would like to return. Some other topics tell you to go here for instructions https://www.nitrokey.com/faq but there is no instructions about returns there now.
If I click the return option at my order page, I get a PDF with a label, but it is not clear to me how can I send it. Should I just go to Correos (Spanish public post office)? some other courier? is it prepaid?
there is no force needed, it may destroy your usb-sockets on the long run.
No push, no tap - just gently touch or smooth circular swipes with your finger tip. It usually works well. You may check another socket, no force.

you should contact the support https://www.nitrokey.com/contact and ask for advice.
They are usually very helpful, but keep in mind, here are summer vacancies just running so a little patience would do no harm.
Yeah definitely broken then tried in mac, linux and android with same results.
I started an email thread with them for the replacement instructions. I am in no hurry, I will be away in the coming weeks and will be hard to get any deliveries in then. But I also do not want to void my warranty or anything like that for not starting the process soon enough.
