Windows nitropy write-certificate: unsupported key length

Dear all, my first request for support. Hopefully the correct topic.

I have a certificate in the format .crt and .p12 made by OpenSSL en Self-signed CA.

I first tried with rsa:4096 and used the command:
nitropy nk3 piv
–experimental write-certificate
–key 9a
–path oskar.wols.crt

got the result “unsupported key length”

with rsa:2048 same result.

version of Nitropy: 0.10.0

Please your advice or link to latest version.

Many thanks in advance, regards, Oskar

Just finished the message and I found version 0.10.0 of Nitropy.

Same result, except the version number
Command line tool to interact with Nitrokey devices 0.10.0
Nitrokey CCID/ICCD Interface 0
Critical error:
Unsupported key length

I did some more, but what I do in this context, I get always the “Unsupported key length”.
Not sure if the message has any value for solving the issue.
